Healthlink e-referrals are integrated into some PMS including Medical Director, Best Practice, Genie, Zedmed, Shexie and MedTech.

Online e-referrals:

If Healthlink is not integrated with your PMS, follow the steps below:

1. First register for a free Healthlink account, selecting 'Receiving Electronic Correspondence' and 'Electronic Smart Forms' from the options.

2. Login and refer through the Online portal

Email / Fax Referrals

Email referrals are to info@northernsurgicalcare.com.au or faxed referrals to: 03 7073 2000 with the below information:

Patient details including address, date of birth, Medicare number and (current) contact phone numbers
The reason for referral
Relevant clinical history for the patient
Relevant investigation results, including any pathology, current medications and any allergies. Note: that for patients with a clinically apparent inguinal hernia, referrals do not need to include an ultrasound.
Current management of condition by LMO
Patients should bring their radiology films to appointments
